Holiday Clubs & Activity Camps:
A critical element of its provision, the Foundation aims is to support schools to help their children and young people to grow healthily and become active. It delivers fun and interactive sessions which allow children and young people to understand of the benefits of having a healthy diet and lifestyle.
Using external funding, it runs scheduled out-of-term ‘Holiday Clubs’ which encourage children to participate in a schedule of sports and cultural activities (e.g. arts and crafts), which not only promote a healthy lifestyle but also helps them develop an understanding of the importance of nutrition and the value of creating healthy dishes using the best ingredients, encouraging creative expression. These events also help participating children grow their interpersonal and emotional skills, as well as their peer-group engagement, personal confidence and self-esteem.
